There will be an important meeting of the General Faculty in Room 5 L on Thursday, May 18,
at 7:30 p. m.
The annual awards assembly will be held Monday, May 15, at 10:00 a. m. in Elizabeth Hall.
If you are a member or sponsor of an organization that presents an award, please notify the
Dean of Men's Office by May 8 concerning the name of the organization, the person who will
present the award, the name of the award, and the name of the person receiving the award.
Dr. John Hague and Dr. Gerald Critoph attended the Southeastern American Studies Association
conference in Atlanta, April 27 - 29. Dr. Critoph was elected vice president of SEASA for
1972-74. The meeting was also attended by four students from the seminar on The City in 20th
Century America: William Adams, Alice Bryant, Blair Hearth, and Corrine Sylvia.
Mr. Dan Farrell, M. Ed. candidate in special education, has been awarded a full fellowship by
the University of Virginia to pursue his doctorate in the field of the education of the emotionally
disturbed,
The following students will be absent from classes Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and
Monday, May 9, 10, 11, 12, and 15. They will be participating in the U. S. Intercollegiate
Archery Tournament in San Bernardino, California: Ann Osborn, Sharon Peper, Jay Kinney,
Guy Kinney, and Ray Merrill.
