CORRECTION. Dr. John Outterson replaces Dr. Morland on the list of Liberal Arts
Graduate Council appointees that was run in last week's Bulletin.
From the Office of the Business Manager: Please help us schedule and control the activities
of our custodians. Please make all requests for special services, such as moving of
furniture, files, etc., through the housekeeping department, Extension 326. Please do not
request custodial personnel to perform duties for you outside of their regularly assigned
areas without making arrangements through the supervisor.
The monthly meeting of the Faculty Senate was held on Tuesday, September 12, 1972.
The Deans of each of the Schools brought reports concerning plans, projects and problems.
Of particular interest to the Senate was:
1) The projected Extension Program with Disney World
2) The large increase in enrollment in the Music School
3) The Liberal Arts concern with Admissions and Curriculum.
Some time was spent in discussion of Dean Chauvin's request that the Senate study the
question of the Winter Term. The matter was referred to the Education Policies Committee
and to the Welfare Committee for their consideration.
