IMPORTANT NOTICE: An election night dinner party will be held in Allen Hall on
Tuesday, November 7,at 7 p. m. There will be a charge of $2. 50 per person, and reservations may be made through Miss Lucy McDaniel, Box 1339, on or before Thursday,
November 2. All professors are requested to call this to the attention of their spouses.
Dr. David Stock and senior biology student David Olander attended the regional meeting of
the American Society for Microbiology recently held in Gainesville. Mr. Olander presented
a paper "Effects of Candida albicans on Renal Destruction in Mice, " which resulted from
independent research in biology conducted during the past two years.
Dr. Eliane Norman, Department of Biology, has been awarded grant of $500 by the American
Philosophical Society to continue her work on the vegetation of Turtle Mound.
Dr. F. M. Knapp has been included in the just published International Directory of Investigators in Psychopharmicology compiled by the World Health Organization in conjunction
with the National Institute of Mental Health.
