President's Office
Richard Wood of the Economics Department successfuly defended his doctoral dissertation
at the University of Wisconsin at Madison on January 24. The title of his thesis is "The
Agricultural Supply Industries in the Economic Development of the Peruvian Sierra. " congratulations to Dr. Wood!
LYCAN APPRECIATION DINNER: The Department of History will sponsor a silver jubilee
dinner for Dr. Gilbert Lycan of February 17 at 6:00 p. m. in the Stetson Room. Cost of the
dinner is $3. 00. Reservations may be made by calling Miss Kurtovich in the Department of
History at 235, but tickets should be paid for prior to February 11.
A state meeting for reviewing and field testing protocol materials will be held in the Intern
Laboratory on Friday, February 11, beginning at 9:00 a. m. and ending at 4:00 p. m. Dr.
Charles B. Reed, from the State Department, will be in charge of the meeting. Protocol
materials developed in Colorado will be presented by Dr. Celeste Woodley.
