Dr. T. W. Beiler will be in Boston, April 10-12, attending the spring meetings of the American
Chemical Society. Dr. Beiler is currently serving as Counselor for the Florida Section of the
Society and a member of the Program Review Committee.
The Stetson Public Relations Office received a special award Saturday night from the Greater
Orlando Press Club for the "best public relations effort in support of the news media. " Public
Relations director Fred Cooper received the award from CBS-TV news chief Walter Cronkite,
who was the featured speaker for the dinner. With Fred were his wife, Jo, and guests, Dr. and
Mrs. John Johns.
On April 5, at Starke Elementary School, 7:30 p. m. , the Parents Group of the Sugar 'N Spice
Day Care will present "Swing Into Spring With Fashion. " This fashion show is one of their
projects to raise money for the day care center which their children attend. These parents have
sought enthusiasticallyto contribute significantly to this low-income child care program. Male
faculty members can help by seeing that this notice gets home to their wives. Cost is $.75/adult
and $. 50/youngster.
The following students missed classes from noon on Thursday, March 30, to participate in a
