Dr. E. C. Colwell will be chapel speaker for the next three Wednesdays. His subjects are:
"This I Believe " about Jesus, about God, and about the Christian Life. You are
cordially invited to hear this distinguished scholar.
A REMINDER AND A REQUEST: The assistance of all faculty members is urgently needed in
helping to enforce the campus fire safety regulations. Smoking is prohibited in ALL classrooms
and in ALL areas of non-fire-resistant academic buildings. We solicit your cooperation in
observing and encouraging students to observe this very necessary regulation.
HISTORY DEPARTMENT MOVIES: Each Monday night from March 6 to May 22, (except April
3 and April 10), the History Department will present the "Civilizations" series of Sir Kenneth
Clark. The series will be shown at 7:00 p. m. in Davis Hall Auditorium. The March 6
presentation will be, "Man, the Measure of All Things. " Also, "War and Peace" with Audrey
Hepburn will be shown from 8:00 p. m. to 11:35 p. m. , on Monday, March 6, in the Stetson Roon
Late permission has been granted for women students signed to go to the film. There is no
charge for these films.
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Bruce Rose has been admitted to the graduate school at
Cornell University and that he has been awarded a teaching assistantship there.
The following note addressed to all members of the Stetson community has been received:
Dad, Ruth and I want you to know how very much your expression of sympathy means to us. The beautiful spray of
flowers reminds us most poignantly of the closeness of our
relation to each individual in the Stetson community. We
