MEMORANDUM from John E. Johns: The following faculty members are to constitute
the President's Committee to examine the Brevard County Program. The purpose of
the committee is to prepare recommendations for the president's reply to the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools: Dr. Fred E. Clark -- Chairman;
Dr. T. Wayne Bailey; Dr. James DeLap; Dr. Chauncey Elkins; Mr. Richard Feasel;
Dr. G. Robert Fox; Dr. Marc Lovelace; Dr. Richard Morland; Miss Maxine Patterson.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The line-of-march for the inauguration of President Johns on
November 15 will form at 9:30 at the Church. As the delegates from the Learned
Societies will be assembling in the Fellowship Room where the faculty has previously
assembled, the faculty will meet in the sheltered area just outside of the Fellowship
Room.
ALL FACULTY AND STAFF ATTENDING OR PARTICIPATING IN THE INAUGURATION
CEREMONY ARE REQUESTED TO COOPERATE FULLY WITH THE PARKING ATTENDANTS
ON DUTY. NO AUTOMOBILES MAY BE PARKED AROUND ENTRANCES. THEY MUST BE
PARKED IN THE PROPER SPACES, AS DIRECTED BY THE ATTENDANTS.
The Chapel Committee had planned for the chapel service on November 17 to be a student
led chapel using a service written under the Danforth program. Since these have not been
completed, this program has been delayed until the spring semester. The service for
November 17 will be led by Dr. E. Earl Joiner of the Religion Department.
