The AAUP will meet at 12:00 noon on Monday April 19 in the Stetson Room. Please
obtain your lunch through the regular cafeteria line. The meeting is open to all faculty.
The following represents action taken at the April 6, 1971 meeting of the Faculty Senate.
1. President Johns officially appointed, for the remainder of this academic year,
the Faculty Advisory Committee on the Budget. This committee is to consist of:
Dr. Evans Johnson, Chairman
Dr. Ted Beiler
Mr. Joseph Master
Mr. Donald Yaxley
2. It was moved and passed that a protest be filed with the Committee on Tenure
and Academic Freedom with regard to the action of the Deans in failing to call
the Advisory Committee on Contract Renewals and Promotions into session
this year.
International Air Bahama has indicated its willingness to accommodate a group of Stetson
faculty, their family, and friends on a 21-day low-cost flight to Luxembourg and return
from August 8 to 29 (between summer session and fall opening). If interested, contact
Dr. Fox, Graduate Office, Ext. 305.
The following students were absent from classes from 12:00 Tuesday, April 6 to
participate in a tennis match with Florida Technilogical University in Orlando.
