Gordon Lathrop, who is presently recuperating from a serious illness, has requested that we
publish the following message:
" After spending a dozen years earning a reputation as an 'old grouch, ' 'bear,' 'crab, '
etc. , it has been an overwhelming surprise to receive the hundreds of cards, the bouquets, gifts
and visits from the Stetson family. I am going to have to walk the campus with eyes lowered
on my return. I hope those who tried visiting the hospital appreciate the care the staff was
taking in keeping me undisturbed, although the Alpha Chi Omega Chorus was appreciated by all
the tower. See you in a few weeks -- just as soon as I learn to walk and breathe right again. "
IMPORTANT: Departmental schedules for the Spring Semester should be submitted to the
Registrar's Office by Monday, October 11.
