STETSON UNIVERSITY
FACULTY BULLETIN
Volume XI
Number 34 Week of May 31. 1971
Will all members of the faculty of the College of Liberal Arts please leave their summer
addresses with Mrs. Wright in Dean Chauvin's office.
From: H. Graves Edmondson, Business Manager
To: All Staff Personnel
Thank you very much for considering the schedule of summer office hours. The response
was almost evenly divided pro and con for the four day work week. Since there were this
number who did not want to make the change, we do not feel that it would be a worthwhile
experiment.
Therefore, effective Monday, May 31, regular summer hours will begin: 8:00 - 12:00 and
1:00 - 4:00. These hours will be observed through the summer until late August.
Inasmuch as classes will be in session and no holidays observed by the students for July 4
and Labor Day, September 6, the University will observe substitute holidays on Friday,
August 13,and Friday, August 20. Please mark your family calendars now for this holiday
shift.
The following students were absent from classes on Tuesday, May 18 for the purpose of taking
ROTC medical examinations at Jacksonville, Florida:
James R. Brown
Richard D. Croscy
Bruce T. Grady
William T. Newsome
Mr. Gabriel Adelowotan has received a teaching fellowship in Geography at the University of
Akron. Congratulations to Gabriel!
