IMPORTANT NOTICE: The deadline for all winter term schedules in September 21. These
should be sent to Dean Chauvin's office.
By popular demand, the weekly Wednesday discussion-luncheons, sponsored by the the Counseling Center, will be held again this fall in the Private Dining Room, Carlton Union Building,
at noon.beginning Wednesday, September 9. The luncheon will be served buffet style and
will cost $1. 00. Please make your reservation by Tuesday noon by calling Extension 335.
We wish to extend our congratulations to Dr. T. E. Smotherman who has been reappointed by
the Florida State Board of Education to its Board of Governors. Dr. Smotherman's term of
office will run until June 30, 1973.
Dr. Robert Crawford Cotner of the University of Texas, formerly of the Department of
History and Political Science at Stetson, was awarded the honorary degree, Doctor of Literature, by Baylor University at the summer commencement, August 23, 1970.
