FACULTY ADVISERS FOR YEAR ABROAD PROGRAMS: Faculty members are invited to
apply for the position of resident adviser in the AMFC Year Abroad Program in Madrid,
Neuchatel, or Freiburg during the academic year 1971-72. Qualifications include a practical
knowledge of the appropriate language and availability for the academic year. Prior experience
in a foreign country is desirable, as the faculty resident must travel and work with students as
well as foreign landlords, banks, university officials and others. Anyone interested should
send a statement of his qualifications to Dean Chauvin prior to November 1.
The Faculty Senate voted unanimously at its meeting on October 6 to ask all faculty members
to be sure to abide by the rules and regulations on parking at Stetson. Although some recent
statements in the Reporter have been exaggerated, the Traffic Committee often does have
problems in enforcing these rules with faculty and staff people. As your colleagues we call
upon you to pay your annual parking fee if it is unpaid, to park only in areas designated for
faculty, and to pay promptly any fines you may incur. To help in the program the Senate has
named Professor Joe Master as faculty representative to the Traffic Committee.
Spring schedules are due in the Office of the Registrar by October 19.
The deadline for the filing of "D List" reports with the Registrar is October 12.
The following six students will be off campus on October 11 to participate in the Louisiana
State University Invitational Debate Tournament. Sharon Beasley, Ann Insley, Bob Bugg,
Chobee Ebbets, Mark Cleeland and Randy Klein.
