PLEASE, before the end of the spring semester, submit changes, deletions, and additions
for the new catalog to Dr. Richard E. Langford. It will be completely re-wjritfteri this summer
and published next fall, as a current catalog. If a course title does not state clearly the
content of the course, let us have a one-line description of it. The closing date for the
material will be August 1, 1970.
PREREGISTRATION for summer and fall will take place from May 6 through May 8. Faculty
members should plan extra office hours during these days so that their advisees may consult
with them about the selection of courses.
All faculty advisors should plan to attend a meeting at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 4, in Davis Hall
Auditorium in preparation for preregistration. Summer and fall schedules will be distributed
at this meeting, and department heads will have the chance to make special announcements
about their offerings.
Dean Dillon has extended a cordial invitation to all DeLand faculty members to attend the Law
College commencement exercises at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30 in St. Petersburg. Wives
are welcome too. If you plan to attend, please let Dean Allen know so that we may give Dean
Dillon some idea of the number to expect.
Faculty members who wish to rent caps and gowns should notify the Bookstore prior to May 8
to insure delivery.
Professor Nicholas Alssen of the Foreign Language Department was elected President of the
American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (Florida Chapter)
at a meeting held in Miami on April 24.
