The annual meeting of the Stetson University Credit Union will be held on Thursday, January 15,
1970, in Rooms 204 & 205, Carlton Union Building, at 4:00 p.m. All Credit Union members
are urged to attend. In addition to the meeting, elections will be held to fill some vacancies on
the board.
Regular Faculty Senate Meeting, Tuesday, January 13, 1970, 6:00 p.m., Private dining room,
CUB. Agenda: Continuation of previous business (i.e., student participation in University
business and on committees). As usual, please let me know by noon, Jan. 13, if you wish to
take dinner with us 6:00. Budget Committee and Academic Council will meet with us (hopefully).

All members of the Stetson family are invited to a seminar Thursday, January 15, from 7 to 9 p. n
in Davis Hall, School of Business Administration. Featured speakers will be L.Dale Marvel,
President of the Trust Company of Florida, and Stephen T. Dean, noted tax attorney. They will
discuss estate planning and recent tax legislation. The DeLand,community has been invited and
hosts will be Vice President John E. Johns and Dean Edward C. Furlong.
The 1970 desk calendars, if you placed an order, are now available in the Bookstore. Stop by at
your convenience and pick them up. Beginning January 1, 1970, the rear door of the Bookstore
will be locked except for deliveries. Circumstances beyond our control require that all customers
enter and leave through the front doors. Thank you for your cooperation.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Dr. William Taylor will replace Dr. Earl Joiner as Chairman of the
Curriculum Committee of the College of Liberal Arts for the remainder of this academic year.
Dr. Joiner, as we all know, is enjoying a well-deserved sabbatical.
A carton of fifteen astronomy books has been mislaid in transit from the Bookstore to Mr. Ash-
crafts office in Elizabeth Hall. If anybody knows anything of the whereabouts of these books,
please notify Mr. Ashcraft at once.
