The College of Liberal Arts Curriculum Committee makes the following request:
It would be very helpful if department heads wishing to submit proposals either for revision
of courses or for new courses would follow the following format: (1) a brief statement of
what the proposal is; (2) an explanation in other than a specialized vocabulary of what the
proposal means; and (3) the reasons for making it in the first place. It would also be helpful
if proposals were submitted in 12 copies. You are reminded that all proposals must be submitted to the proper dean for review before they are sent to the Curriculum Committee.
Prints from around the world will be displayed in the Art Gallery from April 14 until May 10.
This selection of thirty-five prints includes the works of artists from twenty-two countries
including Holland, Sweden, France, Chile, Denmark, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Poland,
Germany, and Japan. Reflecting a cross section of world wide activity from the most vital
print shops, the participants of this exhibit are among the outstanding tal ents currently
producing prints. The work ranges from traditional approaches to the newest directions in
both style and technique.
John Hague, Robert Sherer, JJittiand Diane Lea, and Gerald Critoph attended the biennial
Southeastern American Studies Association meeting in Durham, North Carolina, April 9-11
and Gerald Critoph was re-elected secretary-treasurer of the organization.
