There will be a faculty luncheon for the visiting lecturers for the Ninth Annual International
Affairs Institute on "China: Myth and Reality", on Tuesday, January 27, at 12:30 p.m. , in the
Private Dining Room of the Carlton Union Building. Both speakers, Dr. Michel Oksenberg of
Columbia University and Mr. Donald Anderson of the State Department, will be with us.
Following lunch they will conduct a question and answer session on China. The luncheon and
question session should be over by 1:45 p.m. Tickets for the luncheon are $1.50. Please
make your reservations through Paul Parker in the AMFC office by no later than noon on
January 26. He can be reached by calling Extension 334 or 734-2767, his home phone.
Dr. Gary Maris is Director of the Institute this year, which will be held on campus between
January 26 and 28.
Dr. James DeLap has authored another paper, First Semester Qualitative Analysis, in the
Journal of Chemical Education, vol. 46, p. 837, (1969).
Mr. William Strawter, '68, has j ust received a $23, 500 medical scientist fellowship from the
Life Insurance Medical Research Fund through Emory University Medical School to finance a
double Ph. D - M. D. program. He will take His Ph. D in biochemistry and specialize in neurology
