Will all faculty members who have not yet completed the self-study questionnaire do so as soon
as possible?
We can tabulate the results only if everybody fills out the same questionnaire. Regretfully,
therefore, we must ask those who were kind enough to complete the questionnaire on a trial-run
basis in December to fill another one out at this time. We appreciate your help. Return all
questionnaires to Dr. John Hague.
Many students on College Work Study did not work sufficient hours during the first semester to
earn the amount of money they should have earned. Work Study funds are granted on a calendar
year basis and money not earned before December 31 is required to be reported as unearned and
turned bach to the government. This would mean that the student would arrive at the end of the
year with the unearned balance owed on his account. An effort is being made this year to conserve
these funds but students will have to work extra hours during the Spring Semester to make up the
unearned portion of the Fall Semester. If this can be worked out, supervisors will be informed
of the work requirements for each individual. To prevent the loss of financial aid funds, time
sheets must be maintained in each office or facility where students work in order to insure that
students fulfill their work requirements, and they must be aware that they will not be paid for
work not performed.
The below named students were absent from the University from 4:00 p.m., February 8, to 7:00
p. m. , February 9 for the purpose of participating in the Gasparilla Parade in Tampa, Florida.
