Preregistration for Winter Term and Spring
BLOOD DRIVE: On Monday, November 17, we shall have the regular fall blood drive from
9 to 4 in the Stetson Room. Our goal this year is 300 pints, and we shall need support from
faculty and staff to reach it. Let's help make a success out of this important contribution to
the welfare of our community.
Preregistration for winter term and spring semester will take place from Wednesday,
November 19, through Friday, November 21. Students will be directed to pick up their check
sheets and make an appointment with their faculty advisors during those days. Packets of the
necessary preregistration materials are being mailed to each student.
Faculty members are reminded of the Faculty Advisers' Meeting on Monday, November 17,
in Davis Hall Auditorium. At this time, schedules for the winter term and spring semester
will be distributed, as will be up-to-date advisee lists. Department heads and others will have
the opportunity to make announcements about requirements, options, new courses, etc.
Dr. Harold Schultz served as a delegate to the International Congress of African Studies in
Montreal, Canada, October 15-18. As a member of the Committee on Teaching About Africa
(COTA) he judged applications for African Institutes for the forthcoming year. Nineteen
finalists were funded by the U.S. Office of Education. During the Conference the Black Power
Caucus dramatically took over the Program.
In its meeting of October 31, 1969, the Science Division passed a motion to allow non-science
majors to waive G-lll by a satisfactory score on the C.L.E. P. exam. The following individuals have accepted appointment to a committee to determine the score required for waiver:
