Faculty Senators: Our March 4 Senate meeting will be held at the Law School campus in
St. Petersburg. Departure time is 1:00 p.m. from the Deland campus. The Senate meeting
is at 4:00, followed by dinner. Senators are requested to confirm their reservation through
the History Department.
Mortarboard presents their annual "Last Lecture" speaker, Dr. Harold J. Schultz, on
Monday, March 3, at 8:00 p.m. in Davis Hall auditorium. Faculty are invited.
Faculty and administration are reminded of the luncheon on March 10 at 12:15 noon for the
International Affairs Institute. Reservations are to be made by March 5 with the History
Department office or through campus mail (Box 1317). Dr. Gwendolen Carter will speak at
the luncheon.
Col. Wesley Farmer, Chief of Police of the city of Deland, has given notice that "No Parking"
signs will be erected as soon as possible on North Hayden Avenue, directly east of the University.
Neuroanatomy Visiting Scientists -- Dr. James Ward, Vanderbilt Medical School, heads a tear
of neuroanatomists who will present lectures and demonstrations in Sage Hall, March 6 and 7.
Of particular interest to Biology Majors and Pre-med students will be the meeting on March
6 at 7:30 p.m. in Room 218 of Sage Hall. Team members will be available on March 7 (Friday
for consultation in Room 137 of Sage Hall. All interested faculty and students are welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Allen III are the proud parents of a fine baby boy, Thomas Eugene Allen
IV, who was born at 8:30 a.m., February 24, 1969. Our congratulations to the Aliens.
