By-Law # 1:
Within one week following the annual election of members to the Senate, the chairman
of the Senate shall appoint a three member committee on faculty welfare to serve for
the ensuing year--from June 1 to June 1.
At least one member of the committee shall be a faculty member who has not obtained
tenure and at least one shall be a professor with tenure. One member shall be
designated as chairman of the committee. These names shall be submitted to the
Dean of the University to be published in the next issue of the faculty bulletin.
It will be the duty of this committee to explore all areas related to the welfare of the
faculty and especially to deal with the significant sources of tension and dissatisfaction
which may exist at any given time within or pertaining to the faculty.

NOTICE: Effective with the 1969-70 academic year, all fees previously charged for
individual services will be consolidated into a single general fee in the amount of
$100.00 for the nine month year.
The separate fees now eliminated include:
*1. Student accident insurance coverage
2. Student infirmary fee
3. Student I. D. Card
4. Course fees - science
5. Course fees - liberal arts
6. Post Office Box
7. Laboratory fees
8. Diploma fee
9. Charges for credit hours in excess of 17
10. There would be no late registration fee
11. No charge for course change
*Students taking 9 hours or more will be automatically covered under a blanket policy
of the University. This coverage will be in addition to any insurance carried by the
student or his parents.
Faculty members are reminded that fees including this $100. 00 general fee are NOT
included in the coverage given for Faculty Tuition Benefits.
