The Student Affairs Committee will meet on Wednesday afternoons at 3:30 in room Z05
of the Stetson Union Building again this year.
The library will no longer allow periodicals to circulate to undergraduate students. However, faculty members and graduate students may check out scholarly journals needed to
support research within their discipline. These journals will be issued only for short
periods of time with definite return dates.
This change has become necessary due to damage to and loss of periodicals that are
expensive, difficult and sometimes impossible to replace, to say nothing of the time lost
in delaying bindery shipments waiting for long overdue journals to be returned. The
library administration regrets the change in policy but feels that the preservation of the
collection for everyone's use is important.
Because of a misunderstanding, we wish to clarify the following committee memberships.
Mr. Mabry is chairman of the Religious Life Council. Dr. O. L. Walker serves as
chairman of the Chapel Committee.
Dr. Earl Joiner has been commissioned by the Florida Baptist Convention to write a
history of Florida Baptists. He was commissioned by the State Board of Missions at
the request of the 1967 Convention. Congratulations are due to Dr. Joiner as well as best
wishes for a successful completion of the project.
New faculty members who do not have a copy of the Allen-Colbrunn A Short Guide to
Writing a Research Paper, Manuscript Form and Documentation, may pick one up at the
English Department. This is Stetson's official guide; desk copies are provided by the
publisher.
Faculty, administrative, and staff ID cards will be made September 17 and 19
from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 204, SUB.
