The last regular meeting of the Stetson Faculty Senate (for the 1967-68 academic year)
will be held on Tuesday evening, May 7, following the usual buffet supper at 6:00 p.m.
in the SUB upstairs dining room ($1. 00 charge). This is an important meeting in
which Senate officers will be elected for the coming academic year. Please plan to
attend.
Members of the faculty and staff are invited to the ROTC Awards ceremony at 4:00 p. m.
Monday, May 6, on Hulley Field. Various civic and patriotic organizations will present awards to outstanding Stetson cadets.
The Stetson University Madrigal Singers will present a program Tuesday evening, May 7,
at 8:00 in Elizabeth Hall
Mike Raymond has won an NDEA fellowship in English at the University of Florida. Con
gratulations to Mike and best wishes. The fellowship pays full expenses for three years
plus an allowance for dependents.
To date, returns from the insurance survey show that 44 of 63 respondents (slightly
less than the required 75 per cent) wish to participate in the proposed group insurance
plan. An additional 3 respondents indicated that they would participate if needed to moot
the requirements of the carrier. The faculty is reminded that approximately 90 member
must participate to put the plan into effect.
