REMINDER: Pre-registration for the summer term and the fall semester will be the
week of May 6, 1968.
Faculty and staff are invited to see two unusual one-hour films to be shown by Dr. Richard
Langford. The Golden Twenties willbs shown on Wednesday, May 1, at 7:00 p.m. in Room
5L. This film depicts the aura of the American Twenties, using film clips and photographs
of the famous and infamous of the period. The second movie, Hemingway, will be shown
Tuesday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m. , in Room 5L, and covers the childhood, young manhood,
and adulthood of Ernest Hemingway. Both films are highly acclaimed documentaries,
and those who have not yet seen them are urged to attend the showings.
Friends of Dr. and Mrs. O. LaFayette Walker were grieved to learn of the tragic death
of Mrs. Walker's mother, Mrs. W. F. Atchison of Columbiana, Alabama. Mrs. Atchison
and two other ladies lost their lives in an automobile accident on April 23rd. Dr. and
Mrs. Walker left early Wednesday for Columbiana.
The Religion and Life Committee announces an addition to its spring program. President
Geren has said he will make himself available to answer student questions about Stetson's
policies and programs. This discussion session will be held in the Elizabeth Hall auditorium at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6. Students are requested to submit their questions
in writing to Box 1351 by noon, Wednesday, May 1.
