LEGITIMATE ABSENCES: The following students missed classes Wednesday, January 12 in
connection with a field trip in Music Education: Roy Bennett, Frank Creech, Janet
Sauls, Helen Turner, Marian Carnett, and Hansel Evans, James C. Shephard missed
classes January 10th; Stanley Marks, January 12th, for the purpose of taking a
physical examination at the Orlando Air Force Base Hospital. Approximately IkO students attended the Governor's Inauguration in Tallahassee on Tuesday, January kth
as a legitimate absence; the list of students is available in the Dean's Office,
School of Music. The following students missed classes Thursday afternoon, January
13th in connection with a field trip in Sociology: Eileen Bronner, Ted Cassidy,

FRE-REGISTRATION: The number of students who pro-registered last week exceeded that
of previous years. The work of the faculty advisers and others in making this a
success is very much appreciated.

NEW SECRETARY: Mrs. Marguerite 'McKenzio will assume"her duties as Secretary to this
Office on Monday, January 17th. Formerly Secretary to the Dean at the University of
Minnesota, she has more recently served as Assistant to the Deans of the Dental School
of Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary in New York. Mrs. McKonzie
replaces Mrs. Pamela Pattee who will leave on January the 22nd.
