A.M. meeting, Monday morning, January 10th.
***DISTTNGUISKBD LECfUR'ERt y\ - Dr. William F. Ogburn, formerly Professor at the
University of Chicago ana currently Visiting Professor at Florida State University
will be on campus Monday and Tuesday, January 10-11. A noted sociologist, he will
speak to the combined sections of G15-16 on both days at 10:00 A.M. in the Allen
Hall Auditorium. Both the student body and townspeople are invited to hear him
speak Monday evening at 8:00 P.M. in the Stover Theatre. The faculty is invited
to attend a seminar on educational systems in the U.S. at 3:00 P.M., Monday the 11th.
DEPARTMENT HEADS who are planning to use the IBM scoring machine for departmental
examinations should contact the Guidance Office immediately regarding the number
of answer sheets needed and a schedule for grading.
LETITIMATE ABSENCES: The following students missed classes on Friday afternoon and
Saturday morning, January 7-8 to attend a field trip in connection with their Music
Education class: Roy Bennett, Frank Creech, Ransel Evans, Suzanne Gardner, Janet
Sauls, and Helen Turner.
James C. Shephard missed classes, January 7th for the purpose
of taking physical examination at the Orlando Air Force Base Hospital.
MEN'S PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND ATHLETIC DEPARTMENTAL OFFICES are now located in
Conrad Hall.
IMPORTANT: A copy of the Spring Semester Schedule together with the Summer Session
Bulletin were placed in all faculty boxes. If you did not receive your copies*
you may obtain them from the Admissions Office.
ORDERING BOOKS FOR THE SPRING SEi-lESTER must be done by January lk, 1955.—The Book-
store cannot guarantee delivery of books on time for the opening of classes if they
are ordered later than the 20th.
