ART EXHIBITION: The sixth Annual Volusia County Art Exhibition is featured in the
Art Gallery and Holmes Hall during this month.
CAMPUS COMMUNITY CHEST DRIVE THIS WEEKi At the first Faculty Meeting of the year
unanimous support was pledged to this drive, which is being planned by a joint
student-faculty committee under the sponsorship of the Student Government Association
and with the full approval of the administration. It is expected that faculty members and students will combine their gifts to all major charitable organizations in
their contribution to this fund. No other campus-wide drives will be approved.
THE HOLLER FOUNTAIN: The electric lights beneath the water constitute a possible
cause of electrocution if broken. It has therefore been necessary from the time of
its installation to forbid its use for initiations and all forms of dunking.
LEGITIMATE ABSENCES: Joe McClain and Burt Holmes missed classes from 11:00 A.M.,
October 28 through October 30 in order to attend the fall convention of the Florida
Intercollegiate Press Association and the Florida Intercollegiate Student Government
Association in Miami, The following students missed classes at 1:00 P.*'I,, Friday,
November 5 to be in the DeLand High School Homecoming Parade: Juno Barry, Donald
Bohren, Betty Ray Fuller. The following missed their 2:00 P.M. class on November 5th
due to the parade: June Barry, Roy Bennett, Thomas Dixon, Gerald Florence, Joan
Hodges, Jack Lannin, Marileo Post, Jon Power, Grady Snowden, Katherine Snyder, Gail
Stuart, and Marilyn Stuart.
The following missed classes November h-6 due to the football
game in Clinton, South Carolina: Tom Allerton, Dave Best, Walter Craig, Fred Driver,

The-first presentation of the Pageant on.Monday night
is intended for residents of this area. Although "it will11 be repeated later, please
go Monday..- gyeming if possible. The fall program of the Convention is posted on the
Bulletin Board for this Office.
