FACULTY SPONSORS are asked to remind student organizations that they must file
information on their officers and membership in the Office of the Dean of the
University each semester. Copies of the form may be obtained from this Office•
FACULTY are reminded that faculty schedule cards should be completed and ro-
turned to this Office at once.
CEHTENNIAL PAGEANT OF THE FLORIDA BAPTIST CONVENTION. Stetson University has
been asked by the Florida Baptist Convention to produce a pageant commemorating
the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Convention. Dr. Stover, Dr.
Brockett, and Dr. McCammon are in charge of the production, but it will require the cooperation of the entire University family. Therefore, if your
department is called upon to give special assistance, I know that you will cooperate to the fullest extent. The dates for the performances are November 15
and 17, and the cast will be rehearsing for three weeks preceding the first

THE STETSON CALENDAR first released this past week, is indebted to George
Gaines for its design.
TAMPA FOOTBALL GAME, Friday night, October 15> at Tampa, obviously poses a
problem for Saturday classes which will be held as usual. Encourage students
to save their allowable absences for this purpose if they wish to go. This
may give you a good opportunity to explain the absence rules. Students whoso
work is in such shape as to warrant being absent may well bo encouraged to do so*
CHAPEL SEATS FOR THETACULTY on Tuesday and Wednesday: The two back rows in
sections C and Center are reserved for facility members. At present there are
no seats available for the Friday Assemblies, but it is expected that thus will
be modified in the next week or so.
ACTIVITY TICKETS are again available to faculty members at 15.00; txro tickets
admit family to games, except for children of high school age.

THE FACULTY is invited to a reception honoring the members of the Faculty of
the College of Law, given by the St. Petersburg Junior College, at the Sunset
Golf and Country Club, St. Petersburg, Sunday, October 17, from three to five
o'clock. It may be possible to make arrangements for a limited number to stay
overnight at the College of Law that week-end; those interested leave word at
this Office.
RESERVATIONS FOR FACULTY SEASON TICKETS for Stover Theatre should be mailed to
Stover Theatre by Friday, October 10th.
CHAPERONES. The attached form will bo given to chaperones of social functions.
Members of the faculty will recall the discussion of the problems related to
such affairs at the faculty meeting of last January 7, at which a form such as
this was suggested. It is being sent to all members of the faculty in the hope
that more will volunteer for this necessary and important community service.
The student organizations will of course bo aware that chaperones are being asked these questions. A general improvement in the character and quality of
social functions should result.
