ART EXHIBIT: The art exhibit for this month is 50 Lithographs by 38 contemporary artists. They are now on display in Elizabeth Hall Gallery and Holmes Hal.
MAIL: The postmistress has requested that inter-office mail be carefully
separated from metered mail before deposit in the designated mail slots.
FACULTY DINNER: You are reminded to make your reservations with Dean Turner
for the buffet supper to be held at Ponce de Leon Springs at 6:00 P.M.,
October 2nd. We understand that the sophomore members of the faculty are
hard at work on the program.
ROTC INFORMATION is attached with facts concerning their program here.
FACULTY SCHEDULE CARDS: "if you do not receive two'with this Bulletin, please
obtain them from theTPost Office or this Office. Please return both to this
office following the second meeting of each of your classes but not later
than Friday, October 9. The Faculty Directory will be compiled as soon as
you provide us with the necessary information on these cards. __
CLASS ABSENCES: The rule on class absences remains as last year (catalogue,
p. 21*). Please remember to report consecutive absences to this Office. It is
important to check your classes carefully at the beginning of the semester.
Absentee cards are available in this office.
CLAS" CARDS: You will receive a class card for every student who has completed
his registration and cleared through the Business Office. It is important that
you report any discrepancy between the number of students reporting to your
class and the number of class cards received. This information goes to the
Registrar.
DROPS aND CLASS CHANGES: Students wishing to change courses make their requests
first to the Dean of Women or of Men. The second step requires the signature
of the adviser. This procedure is intended to reduce the number of changes
for insufficient reason and in no way minimizes the importance of the adviser's
double-checking both the reason for the change and the student's check sheet.
Advisers need not accept the Dean's recommendation if in their judgment it
does not meet the student's situation. If the student is successful in obtain-
ing both approvals he then takes the change card to the Registx-ar's Office.
CHAPEL: Please note that there will be two identical Chapel services this year
on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, due to the impossibility of seating everyone in the
auditorium at the same time. Meetings of the student bodies of the schools
or colleges of the University may be called and attendance required at 10:00
on Thursdays, Attendance at the student body meetings, rallies, etc. which may
be scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Fridays is optional. No announcements will be
made during the Chapel services on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
SCHEDULE CHANGES: In General Education, G2 will meet at 2:00 P.M. instead of
1:00 P.M., fall and spring.
The laboratory for G10, will meet from
2-3:50 Wednesday, fall and spring.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TTS CLASSES SCHEDULED FOR 11:00 WILL MEET AT 10:00 SATURDAYS.
