Faculty members who are interested in serving as chaperones for student
parties, or those who will be willing to serve occasionally, are asked to meet the
Student Deans for an informal discussion in the back parlor of Chaudoin Hall,
Monday afternoon, October 19 > at 3:00 o'clock.
SMOKING AND TH^ FIRE HAZARDS, ' ' '
All members of the University community are reminded -
that smoking cannot be allowed in any classroom, library, or office building
because of the serious fire hazards involved. This applies to all persons and all
buildings except the Commons and the Soda Shop. The Faculty can be helpful in
interpreting the rule to students who may not fully understand it.

LEGITIMATE ABSENCES
The following students were completing physical examinations at.
the Orlando Air Force Base, Orlando, Florida in conjunction with ROTC activities:
October 7th: Arthur A. Fritz and Herbert D. Carl en j October- 9th: Nicholas G.
Colantuono, William M. Garrett, John S. Imgund, Jr., Allan E. Meyer, and William L.
Proctor.
Education majors attended the District Conference of the Florida
Education Association held in Daytona Beach, October l6th.
FACULTY ADVISERS '
Please advise all second semester interns that they must register
with Mr. Longstreet between 9:00 o'clock and noon during the week beginning
October 19th in the Education Office.
FORMER MILITARY PERSONNEL '
All faculty members who were in the service are requested
to complete information concerning their ranks, branch of service, etc. — such
forms being available at this Office in the event that you do not receive them
with the Bulletin. This information will be used by the ROTC unit to honor faculty
members who formerly were military personnel. Please return completed forms to
this Office as soon as possible.
SEMINOLE BAPTIST ASSOCIATION meets at Longwood, Oct. 22-23. Dr. Walker will
represent Stetson Friday and invites anyone wishing to attend to ride with him.
