REGARDING ABSENCES: (1) A student missing classes to the detriment of his work will
be warned by the instructor that further absences will result in a reduction of his
grade; he will be reported to the Office of the Dean of the University.
(2) Any consecutive absences will be reported to the Office of the Dean of the Univ.
(3) Absences are not classified as excused or unexcused. Ten per cent of class
meetings will be regarded as a maximum of absences--for illness, emergencies, social
activities, work, or whatever reason. Above this number a student cannot expect to
obtain a maximum grade; he may earn an F. A student may be allowed absences fewer
than 10$ of class meetings if in the opinion of the instructor the quality of his
work necessitates the prior application of #1.
