STETSON-LETTER
VOL. 6 NO. 1
STETSON UNIVERSITY, DeLAND, FLORIDA
NOVEMBER, 1957
An Important Message to
STETSON ALUMNI EVERYWHERE
Fellow Stetson Alumni:
In this issue of the STETSON-LETTER you'll find the program of our
Homecoming-Founders Day weekend, February 20-22, 1958. We have every
reason to believe that this will be the greatest weekend in the history of
Stetson University and it is your responsibility and mine to make that desire
come true.
Stetson's wonderful progress in the past and the hope that is held for its
future should be an inspiration to us. There is something just a little special
about resuming college friendships and reliving the memorable experiences
we shared. It doesn't make any difference whether we were members of the
Class of 1907 or 1957 and at Homecoming, smiles on Alumni faces are the
rule.
RUSS BROWN
Rumors have reached me that the new Stetson Union Building is wonderful, and just wait till you see the area
which has been designated as the "Faculty-Alumni Lounge."
The February date will fit in well with those of us who have always yearned for winter vacations and you
Southerners better be careful or the Yankees are going to outnumber you at Homecoming. In particular, I want
to urge the more recent graduates to return to the campus. Maybe there is a tendency for some to think of Homecoming as an occasion for "old-timers." Instead, it is the time when all Stetson Alumni should want to be together.
My best regards go to each of you and I look forward to greeting you personally in February, 1958.
