Alumni Convocation
Homecoming this year, Nov. 7-9, is
expected to be the most colorful and
best-attended in history.
To give it this distinction, the schedule has been changed to allow more
time between some of the events draw-
in the largest groups, and some new
features have been added.
The student parade has been changed
from Saturday afternoon immediately
preceeding the football game to 10 a.m.
This eliminates the rush from the barbecue-to- the - parade - to - the - football
game.
Two events are taking on added significance this year. The alumni dinner
at 6 p.m. Friday in the Commons, will
be sponsored by Ye Mystic Krewe and
The Honor, student leadership organizations.
The annual alumni convocation at 11
a.m. Saturday will feature Laurence F.
Lee, president of the United States
Chamber of Commerce as speaker. Also
attending this gathering will be the
Stetson University Council, composed
of 100 business and professional men
and women of Florida, most of them
alumni of other colleges.
Immediately following the convocation, the Council will have a conference in the Office of President Edmunds and members of the Stetson
Alumni Association will remain in
Elizabeth Hall Auditorium for the annual meeting.
