Reunion Weekend '95:
Unforgettable memories

Reunion Weekend '95 began on Friday after
noon with a delicious barbecue on the Hat
Rack patio. Embracing old friends, professors, and staff started a most memorable weekend
for everyone. The excitement and anticipation was
overwhelming. Stetson had again become the "safe
haven" it always had been.
Class parties followed the barbecue and led to
hours of reminiscing, and most important, laughter.
It was the only time in our lives when we could
relive friendships from many years ago.
At Convocation on Saturday morning, each class
group of alumni gathered in Elizabeth Hall. Each
presented a skit or song reflecting life on campus
during their tenure. The morning ended with the
singing of the Alma Mater...the words were oh! so
true..."tenderly thy children gather, and bring to
thee gracious salutations." What a glorious sound
resonating from every wall in Elizabeth Hall!
On Saturday afternoon President and Mrs. Lee
hosted a reception in their lovely home for all
Reunion attendees. It was a warm and wonderful
beginning to a memorable evening.
The grand finale Saturday evening was a dinner
for each class. The Class of 1970 event included the
presentation of 25-year diplomas. A good meal,
along with good conversation, has always been part
of the Stetson package! People came home from
practically every state to see old friends and rediscover 1966-1970 to the present.
Spending precious hours with Stetson friends
rejuvenated me for another few months until I can
get back to DeLand.
The weekend was only possible because of the
staff, students, professors, and all the support from
everyone who attended the unforgettable Reunion
Weekend of 1995.

graduate who serves the Alumni
Association Board of Directors as the
Jacksonville District Chair.
