isiting registration and class headquarters was a blast from the past. Sitting around
looking through the old yeatbooks brought
back lots of memories and helped us remember the faces of the people who were coming
back.
The all Alumni Barbecue gave us a chance
to visit with the people we remembered and
get to know those that we didn't. We even
recognized someone we knew from out of
town but didn't realize he was a Stetson
graduate. Even the food was good!
The class party was a chance to kick back
and relax with classmates. A few more people
ttickled in that we knew who were just
arriving in town. Everything was great until
the kariokc time started.
Breakfast was reminiscent of the old
days...arrive late and get a B.O.B. (breakfast
on a bun) which I believe was an invention of
our graduating class. Although the place
looked different, the food still tasted the
same.
We expected the class meeting to be quite
a drag...We even got roped into shating the
secretary position for the next five years. The
meeting started slowly and built to a large
crescendo when we were informed that we
were expected to present a skit to the rest of
the alumni...no one had told us...and it was
too late to back out. We were saved in the
end by a guest of Cathy Cline who wasn't
even a Stetson grad...he helped us create
origami swans that we used to symbolize our
fellow classmates who had the wisdom to skip
this part of the reunion. But convocation was
probably the best event of the whole
weekend...seeing the imaginations of the
different classes.
Our class dinner at the country club was
exceptional. The food was good, the setting
peaceful and relaxing, and the companionship above reproach. It was great fun. The gag
prizes were the highlight, with Maggie and I
winning prizes for the longest-married couple
and having the oldest child. This would not
be so amusing if so many people hadn't

predicted that we wouldn't make it past a
year (we graduated and got married the same
afternoon).
The dance was a little toughet for us to get
excited about. Not many people from our
class were dancers and the music was a little
out of our age range to begin with. But as the
evening progressed and we got mote courage
we brought out the "oldies but goodies" and
danced the night away. The dance was so
popular that for next year they'll have to find
a bigget dance floor.
The chapel service was a little eatly, but
we made it. It was an excellent way to wrap
up the weekend. The message was inspirational and prepared us to go back to our own
separate realities.
The weekend helped us to bettet appreciate and undetstand the tradition of which we
are an integral part. Thanks to all who
attended and helped. We had a great time
and we'll definitely be back for the next
reunion in five years.

pages are filled with memories from Reunion
1993. If you were in the classes '43, '48, '53,
'58, '63, '68, '73, '78, '83, or '88, you might
recognize some of the weekend's highlights.
Members of the classes of '44, '49, '54, '59,
•64, '69, '74, '79, '84, and *89 will be celebrating Reunion in April 1994. As you can see,
Reunion Weekend will be a special opportunity for you to relive your Stetson experience.
We hope those of you who just celebrated
Reunion had a wonderful time, and we look
forward to welcoming the Reunion "94 classes
back to campus.
