Changes in Chapel bring out guest speakers for this Fail By Kevin M. Kerr Staff Writer This semester things are a little different in Chapel. The basic structure is still the same; it is still held at 10 am on Wednesdays in the Elizabeth Hall Chapel, yet an important fixture is missing--Dr. Clyde Fant, Dean of the Chapel. Fant is presently on sabbatical in Jemez, New Mexico; he will return to Stetson for the Spring semester and resume his duties as Dean of the Chapel. In his absence, Dr. Mitchell Reddish will act as Chairman of the Chapel and guest speakers have been asked to give the sermon in his place on the Wednesday chapel services. Tomorrow's guest speaker will be Ken Sehcsted. the Executive Director of the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America. Next week's speaker will be Dr. William A. Lawson, Jr., pastor of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Lawson will also be the speaker for this year's Encounter series, and his topic of discussion will be, "This Nation under God " As with previous En- counterprograms, Dr. Lawson will speak on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. He is expected to bring an interesting insight to the Stetson community since he has been active in the Houston chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and Operation Crackdown: Houston Mayor's Commission on Drugs. The last guest speaker will be Dr. Jean Dickman, who was featured in Pro Veritatc last year. The semester will end with two special services, one celebrating Thanksgiving and another for Christmas.
