Stetson To Get New Game Room, Cellar Door

The twenty thousand
dollars needed for the
renovation and purchase of
new equipment was recently
approved by the Stetson
Board of Trusties,
Plans call for the
renovation of what used to be
the bowling alley and up
until recently a storage area
for the bookstore. This room
is immediately a bow the
bookstore and next to what is
presently the cue room.
Among other improvements, the ceiling will
be lowered, tie floors will
either be carpeted or
touched up, dividers will be
put in place to create
separate game rooms and
sound systems and lights will
be added
The present day cue room
will be rearranged into a
-coffee house" motif where
the SUB plans in hold "cellar
doors1' and where students
will he able to rest and relax
between classes during the

ping-pong tables and
anywhere from twenty to

A number of members wre welcomed back from a
natonai convention of student campus activities groups In
this gathering representatives from universities throughout
ihe nation exchanged ideas on activities and events and
talked with managers of individual performers and groups
Greenfeather events proeidod by the Stetson Union
Board included a sidewalk chalk art festival last Thursday
and a photo contest on Monday, November 13. The latter
event will he judged by Tom Waterman, who helped film
Ja»s and the Deep.
These events are in addition to the Horror film
Festival this Friday at eight o'clock in the Carlton Union
Holding and this weeks Happy Hour which was held
Thursday in conjunction with the deco contest ir. Chaudoin
flail and featured cheese and crackers
