E. Duckwitz', dean. School of Music. Mrs. Libbey has made quite a name for herself in the world of music. She is composer of some larger forms in or- cestral music. She is also author of a number of published popular sciurs and choral music. Yes, the' Stetson Glee Clubs are at it again. In fact they've already made the first trip ot the year - the cele- biation of the 100th anniversary of Stephen Poster's "Old Folks At Home," at White Springs, Fla. The clubs appeared on the Stephen Foster Memorial program three time?, along with U. of Fia. Band, F. S. TJ. Faculty String Ensemble, and Mary Alice Heusley, contralto, of radio and television. The trip and the tryouts for the clubs were presided over by Professor ri. M. Giffin and his crew of student oficors: General Al.mc'ger, Glenn Andrews, Pensr.- cola: Student Leaders. Dolores Kelly. When the atmosphere was finally cleaied of many lost chords, "mangled" fingernails, and "jangled" nerves, the final list showed that there would be 100 singets and 1 aceompanit-ts in this year's clubs. Of these, 50 are new members and 54 are veterans. To be specific, there are 30 new women and 27 new men in the clubs. Running in a field of six, Gene Dubberly edged out Charles Granger in a run-off for Frosh President. John Howell was unopposed for Vice-President. Harriet Stones was selected Scc- utary, and George Painter carried the treasurer's spot o\er two others. The Stetson Party slate was elected in its entirity in the Junior and Senior classes. Senior class officers are: Pete Peterson, President; Marcia Tarbert, Vice-President; Ona Bariield, Secretary; Joe Carlton, Treasurer. Junior class officers are: Carroll Lewis, President; Charlotte Nay- lor, Vice-President; Shirley Williams, Secretary; Jim Seymour, Treasurer. In the Sophomore class, George Jochem was elected President; Barbara Brock, Vice-President; and Jane Poole, Secretary. Herb Will- Suspect' Is Stover Theater First Acting talent comes in twosomes from the towns of DeLard a"d Or- 'ando, if the players appearing in "Suspect," opening pnay of the Stover Theatre set the pace for the coming season.
