Literary Society Notes—A Call to Arms. The following program was given by the Literary Society last Saturday night: Stetson Star—read by the editor, Miss Hulley. Reading from Whittier—Miss Davis. There was a goodly number out last Saturday night. Many new faces were to be seen. No doubt, this was partly due to the fact that the new students are just learning that we hold open meetings, and that everybody is invited to visit us. Come again! We are glad to see you. Then three were also many members present. This is commendable. But there are many who show no interest in the society until something of special interest arises. They come and go as the tide of interest does. Yet they forget that the shoulders of some are bearing the burden of the society along the rough places. No one needs to say that it is an injustice to the "burden bearers" to have to carry the deadweight of inactive members; for if you will awaken the most sluggish from his lethargy, he will rise with righteous indignation (?) and make a speech—and a good one, too— against drones. But remember!
