GLEE CLUB TO
GIVE CONCERT
Twelve Sweet Singers
Plan a Trip.
The Stetson Glee Club expects
to open its season at Sanford next
Friday evening. On Friday afternoon the Club consisting of
twelve carefully trained voices,
and its director, Prof. O.A.Morse,
will leave DeLand and will arrive
at Sanford in the evening. Here
the first concert will be given
and on Saturday night the Club
will appear before an Orlando
audience. The members have
been at work since early in the
term and have earned the good
time which the trip promises
them.
This years's Glee Club is organized as follows:

CLOSES SEASON
Thanksgiving Banquet.
The annual Thanksgiving dinner was served in the Chaudoin
dining hall at six o'clock Thursday evening. In obedience to
custom the bell rang pome ten or
fifteen minutes earlier and thus
the inhabitants of the other dormitories were given ample time
to reach the dining hall, for this
is one of the rare occasions when
the masculine horde is permitted,
nay, even compelled to use the
front entrance of Chaudoin.
The seats were ranged about
two long tables which extended
parallel to one another the length
of the hall. Near the head of
the one on the ria:ht were Dr.
and Mrs. Hulley, Mrs. Hulley's
father and mother and the guests,
Mr. and Mrs. Stevens. At the
other end was seated Miss Mar
tien, the dean of Chaudoin. The
table on the left was headed by
Prof. Colton, surrounded by the
team, while at the other end the
equilibrium was maintained by
Mr. Blocker.
The cool day, the exciting game
and, in some cases, a systematic
course of fasting, had fitted
everyone to enjoy the feast that
was spread. The various courses
were well prepared and reflected
credit upon the steward, Mr.
Hamilton.
At the conclusion of the meal
the company arose and proceded
to the parlors where social hour
was observed.
Hard Playing — Several
Fumbles—Fine Rooting
The large crowd of spectators
who witnessed the Thanksgiving
football game between Rollins and
Stetson, saw Stetson win by a
safety the hardest fought game
ever played in DeLand. Had the
Stetson team played in first class
form it would have scored at least
two touchdowns, but owing to
the slump of the "white and
green" men Rollins was able to
protect their goal and at one time
threaten to cross the SWson line.
Botts kicked off to Rollins.
Rollins attempted an end run and
lost 5 yards; gained only eight
yards on a forward pass and tried
an outside kick. The ball went
to Stetsou on Rollins' 45yd line.
Stetson rooters at once began to
expect a touchdown, but Stetson
gained only 7 yards in three downs
and the ball went to Rollins.
Rollins was held for downs. A
triple pass netted Stetson 15 yds.
Good gains followed but a fumble
cost Stetson her opportunity to
score. Botts attempted a goal
from placement but Rollins
blocked. Stetson recovered the
ball but was unable to make her
gains. Botts tried another goal
from a difficult placement but
failed. Rollins kicked out to the
center of the field. Stetson fumbled the kick to Rollins. Rollins
failed to gain and punted 35yds.
Stetson again fumbled. Rollins
lost the ball on a forward pass.
Stetson kicked. Rollins made
gains till the ball was fumbled to
Stetson. Stetson lost the ball on
downs, Rollins continued to gain
but the ball went to Stetson on
her own 3yd line. Kirby punted
out of danger. Rollins was held
for downs. Botts made a gain of
20 yds. on a triple pass. Lowrie
