Vocal Coach
Lloyd Linney,
Vocal Coach of the
Children's Choir,
has been a part of
Stetson University
since 1984 teaching
voice, performing in
operas, oratorios
and recitals, and
coordinating recruitment and admissions for the School
of Music. She also teaches voice at Daytona
Beach Community College. She has taught
at the University of Central Florida,
Seminole Community College, Valencia
Community College and Rollins College.
Operatic roles including Fiordiligi in Cosi fan
tutte, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, both the
Countess and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro,
Naide in Ariadne auf ISIaxos, Madame
Goldentrill in The Impressario, Marie in The
Bartered Bride, and the title role in Martha,
Ms. Linney appeared as the Queen of the
Night in the Stetson School of Music's production of Die Zauberfloete in October, 1991.
She holds degrees from Furman University
and the Florida State University where she
studied with Elena Nikolaidi. She is presently
completing the Doctor of Music degree in
Vocal Performance at FSU.
