Bring to the Lord, you Mighty ones, honor and strength, Alleluja.
Bring to the Lord the glory due his name. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness,
Alleluja.
All lands worship and sing your praises. They sing praise to your name.
Alleluja.
Ich danke dem Herrn Psalm 111, 1-5
I thank the Lord with my whole heart in the council of the faithful and in the assembly.
Great are the works of the Lord. They are pondered by all who delight in them. Glorious
and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endureth forever. He has caused his
wonders to be remembered. The Lord is gracious and compassionate. He provides food for
those who fear him. He remembers his covenant forever.

What have you committed, O you ever gracious and blessed boy, Jesus Christ, that you
were thus judged? What have you done, o you ever friendly youth, that one so evil and
wretched has dealt with you this way? What is your crime and misdeed? What is your
guilt? What is the cause of your death? What is the reason for your condemnation? Oh, I
am the cause and the plague of your suffering. I am the cause of your downfall. I am the
one who deserves your death. The death, worthy sinner, that on you was placed. I am the
opening of wounds of your pains, the fear of your torment. O where to, O you son of God,
has your lowliness brought you down?
