Stetson University and the School of Music Stetson University, a 4-year, residential university, is the oldest chartered institution of higher education in Florida. Consistently recognized as one of the South's finest private universities, Stetson offers programs in 50 academic areas through the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business Administration, and the School of Music in DeLand, and the College of Law in St. Petersburg.
