BOYD JONES
Boyd Jones performs extensively throughout the United States on both
organ and harpsichord in addition to his duties as University Organist
and John E. and Aleise Price Professor of Organ. Dr. Jones holds
degrees from Stetson University (BM), where his organ teacher was Paul
Jenkins, and from Yale University (MM, MMA, and DMA), where he
studied organ with Charles Krigbaum and harpsichord with Richard
Rephann, and served as Assistant University Organist and Graduate
Teaching Assistant. Dr. Jones has won both national and international
organ performance competitions. He has recorded for Arkay Records
and Clear Note Records and is represented by WindWerk Artists.
MICHAEL RICKMAN
Steinway artist Dr. Michael Rickman joined the faculty at the Stetson
University School of Music in 1983 and last year celebrated 30 years at
Stetson. A highly sought-after performer and teacher, Dr. Rickman's
appearances have taken him to significant cultural centers around the
world. Of a performance in Freiburg, the Badische Zeitung wrote,
"Michael Rickman, brilliant at the keyboard, played not as a technician,
but as a musician, who lived the performance with both body and soul."
At Stetson, he maintains a studio of prize-winning students, preparing
them for musical studies in noted graduate programs, competitions, and
positions in the professional musical world.
STEPHEN ROBINSON
Acclaimed by The New York Times for his "effortless virtuosity with
intelligence and good taste," Stephen Robinson performs extensively
and conducts master classes at leading musical institutions and festivals
worldwide. He has appeared as guest soloist with orchestras including
the Cincinnati Symphony and Boston Pops Orchestras and is an award-
winning recording artist. Dr. Robinson, who directs and founded the
guitar program in 1983, is professor of music at Stetson University. His
graduates have excelled in the finest graduate programs of Yale
University, The Eastman School of Music, The Peabody Conservatory,
Florida State University, and University of Southern California, among
others, and many now hold prominent positions in the professional
music world.
