Anthony Hose, Conductor
Anthony Hose works with many orchestras throughout Europe including the Berlin Symphony,
Budapest Concert Orchestra and the Icelandic Symphony and in Britain with the London Philharmonic, the
Royal Philharmonic, English Chamber, and Welsh Chamber Orchestra of which he is principal conductor.
In the opera house he has conducted many productions for the Welsh National Opera with repertoire
ranging from Handel to the present day and including most of the operatic repertoire of Mozart, Verdi,
and Puccini.
Mr. Hose has been the guest conductor for operas including the Icelandic Opera, L'Opera de Lyons,
Gothenburg Opera, New Sadler's Wells Opera, Scottish Opera, and the Mid Wales Opera. He has also
guest conducted orchestras including the Ankara Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, BBC
National Orchestra of Wales, Budapest Symphony Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, English Sinfonia, Icelandic Symphony
Orchestra, London Mozart Players, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Orlando Philharmonic, Rhine Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool
Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
He was for many years a professor at the Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of music, and has given orchestral, opera,
and lieder masterclasses throughout Europe. He was appointed orchestra conductor of Stetson University in the fall of 2000. He is
rtistic Director of the Mount Dora Spring Festival here in Florida and of the Beaumaris Festival in Wales.He has just returned from
- concert tour in Wales with the Welsh Chamber Orchestra. Next month he will conduct three concerts of Vivaldi's music with the
Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and a new production of Verdi's La Traviata with Orlando Opera.
