A framed etching entitled, View of St. Johns near DeLand, by Stetson Professor William Alexander Sharp. W. A. Sharp was one of Stetson's earliest art professors who was well-respected in the art world. This handwritten note appears on the back of the frame, 'Dec. 22nd, 1903, 11:30 P.M. when Prof. W. A. Sharp gave each of the 'Hamilton Hall' girls at Stetson University an etching which he made. He was head of the art department at Stetson University.'
