U. S. Army cavalry spurs that belonged to Ned Ricks, class of 1968 and Vietnam veteran. This pair of German silver spurs worn with the Army Blue or the Blue Mess Jacket formal uniforms (see Memorabilia 2387, 2388, 2389). Tradition says that spurs won in peace time by education and demonstrated skills are silver. Upon serving in the Cavalry in war time, the silver spurs are exchanged for gold. In box.
