The library awards the Evans C. Johnson Research Prize and the R. Neil Scott Research Prize each spring to students who wrote excellent research papers in a first-year class. Audry Berlie won the Evans C. Johnson Prize; Skyler Gipson won the R. Neil Scott Prize; and honorable mentions went to Allyson McLendon and Martine Petion.
