The library awards the Evans C. Johnson Research Prize and the R. Neil Scott Research Prize in April 2016. These prizes are awarded annually each spring for the best first year student research papers. Sylwia Jurkowski (Dr. Kimberly Reiter's class) won the Johnson Prize, Makayla Mitchell (Dr. Paul Croce's class) won the Scott Prize and Mary C. Smith (Dr. Croces's class) received an honorable mention for her paper.
