Stetson Family Collection. Military troops stand in formation as a cavalry unit marches before Warsaw City Hall (Jablonowski Palace) during the U.S. Sesquicentennial Celebration in Warsaw, Poland. Jablonowski Palace was destroyed in 1944 during the Warsaw Uprising, and reconstructed according to early architectural plans in the 1990's. Pictured here is the original structure. The buildings on the upper right of the photo no longer exist. John B. Stetson, Jr. served as U.S. Minister to Poland from 1925 to 1929. Stamped on back, 'Fot. Marjan Fuks'. Caption handwritten on back of photo, '4th of July - Troops assembling in front of the City Hall.'
