Maria Studer, a Volusia County resident and friend of Stetson, died in 2005 and left to Stetson this trunk full of valuables as well as a generous endowment to be used for worthy students. The Maria B. Studer Endowed Scholarship Fund was established as a lasting financial legacy and also in memory of her late daughter Heidi Studer, who passed away at the age of five-years old.
